And before anyone says anything, yes, the authorities at Jeld-Wen did open up new seats for the New England match. Presumably this is a permanent change that reflects satisfaction with the main concourse's ability to handle the crowd at 18,622 seats, as well as the neighborhood's traffic capacity. Both issues have been concerns in the past.
The other obvious point to make about these numbers is that they are further evidence that, as many have argued, this year may well represent a turning point for MLS.
